PARTO is a cross-GCC automotive parts marketplace designed to simplify how customers find and purchase car parts while enabling merchants to manage inventory, pricing, and fulfillment efficiently.

The platform addresses a critical market gap in the automotive aftermarket:
most existing platforms rely heavily on part number search only, creating friction for users who don’t have exact technical details.

PARTO introduces a multi-input intelligent search experience, combined with a scalable merchant system and a simplified UX designed for both B2C and B2B use cases across the Gulf region.

The Challenge

The automotive parts market in the GCC faces several usability and system challenges:

  • Customers often don’t know exact part numbers

  • Existing platforms offer limited search methods

  • Poor localization across GCC countries (currency, availability, delivery)

  • Manual merchant workflows with poor inventory scalability

  • No standardized quotation flow for items without fixed prices

  • Complex UX that discourages non-technical users

The challenge was to design a simple, intelligent, and scalable system that works equally well for:

  • Individual car owners

  • Workshops and mechanics

  • Multi-country merchants

UX Approach

Client Requirements

  1. AI Assistant

    • The AI is now a smart in-app assistant and not a chat system.

    • Functions include: search assistance (text, barcode, image, voice), auto-filling part details, suggesting alternatives, helping with order confirmation, and providing onboarding hints.

  2. Merchant Flow Updates

    • Merchants upload parts via Excel sheets, no individual photos needed.

    • The system has a centralized image database linked to part numbers; images auto-populate for all parts.

    • Merchants can manage multiple inventories per country under a single account.

    • Merchants can specify delivery availability per country.

    • Merchants can define warehouse locations (linked to delivery).

  3. Delivery Integration

    • Delivery module added for tracking and dispatching orders.

    • Customers can choose available delivery options.

    • Statuses: Pending, In Transit, Delivered, Returned.

  4. Wallet & Payment

    • Customers pay a deposit percentage before final purchase confirmation.

    • Remaining balance is charged once the part is confirmed for delivery.

  5. Returns & Refunds

    • Returns accepted only if items are defective or do not match specifications.

    • Returns for other reasons are automatically rejected.

  6. Search & Differentiation

    • Unlike competitors that allow part number search only, PARTO provides multi-input intelligent search (text, barcode, image, or voice).

    • This feature will be highlighted in UX design and onboarding screens.

PARTO is an automotive e-commerce platform connecting car parts merchants and customers across GCC countries. Market analysis identified existing platforms like Odiggo, SparePartsME, and CarSwitch across the GCC. Key insights:

  • Most lack AI-powered search (image/voice/barcode).

  • Currency and language localization are inconsistent.

  • Loyalty programs are rare or absent.

  • Few offer integrated merchant dashboards.

PARTO differentiates by providing multi-currency, dual-language, AI-assisted search, and wallet-based transactions.

PARTO includes two mobile apps (Customer & Merchant) and one Admin Web Dashboard.

  • Localized currency detection (AED, SAR, OMR, BHD, KWD, QAR).

  • OTP-based registration and login.

  1. Registration & Login Flow:

    • User opens app → Enters phone → Receives OTP → Logs in.

    • System detects country and default currency.

  2. Search Flow:

    • User types text / scans barcode / uploads image / records voice.

    • AI engine analyzes and returns best-matched parts.

    • Results filtered by brand, price, supplier, condition.

  3. Part Request & Payment Flow:

    • User selects part → Chooses supplier → Adds to cart.

    • Pays deposit → Remaining balance charged after confirmation.

    • Confirmation & loyalty points added automatically.

  4. AI Assistant Flow:

    • Smart in-app assistant guides search, order tracking, and onboarding hints.
